  • Post of Assistant Manager, Finance and Administration

    1.    QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Candidate should be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent) with at least three years post qualification accounting & finance experience.
    • Candidates should possess leadership skills with a self-starter attitude and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in QuickBooks would be an advantage.

    2.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1.    To assist the Manager, Finance and Administration in, inter alia, the following:

    • To organise and monitor activities of the finance section.
    • To control and direct the finances of the Company and monitor the Company’s expenditure, revenue and cash flow.
    • To make safe and sufficient arrangements for the collection and custody of sums owing and discharge of sums due.
    • To be responsible for the preparation of annual budget, final accounts, statutory returns and other financial statements required by management.
    • To keep under continuous review the rates, fees and other charges of the Company and the procedures/ practices for budgeting and cost and management control.
    • To maintain a suitable modern accounting system.

    2.    To advise the Manager, Finance and Administration on the formulation of broad financial policy matters.

    3.    To ensure the proper implementation and maintenance of a computer system for accounting.

    4.    To introduce control systems for adequate coverage over the financial activities of the Company.

    5.    To participate in the costing and pricing of projects.

    6.    To assist in the preparation and implementation of a plan for human resource development.

    7.    To be responsible for the collection of rent and parking fees and for the formulation and scrutiny of contracts.

    8.    To perform any other related duties.

    Initially the selected candidate will be employed on probation for one year and will be subject to confirmation in the post thereafter upon satisfactory performance.

    3.    REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS

    Salary scale: 36,000 x 1,200 - 43,200 x 1,800 - 54,000
    Passage benefit granted upon confirmation in the post.

  • Assistant Airport Operations Officer



    Applications are invited from qualified candidates who wish to be considered for appointment as Assistant Airport Operations Officer, to work at Airport of Rodrigues Ltd, Sir Gaetan Duval Airport, Plaine Corail, Rodrigues.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Candidates should hold a relevant post HSC Diploma acceptable to the ARL Board of Directors.
    • Candidates should possess good communication, supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Candidates should possess a valid driving license (at least Private Car).
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. To assist the Airport Operations Officer in, inter alia, the following:

    a. all security, safety, facilitation and operational matters at the airport in accordance to local legislations and the Standard and Recommended Practices of the International Civil Aviation Organisation;
    b. supervising ARL operational staff and to ensure a sound operational coordination between all ARL departments and airport stakeholders;
    c. conducting internal audits / quality control and assurances of operations, procedures and manuals, with respect to security, safety, aerodrome and facilitation;
    d. developing and updating all airport procedures manuals, Standard Operating Procedures in line with prevailing regulations and Company Policies;
    e. ensuring that the airport accesses, fence, emergency exits, grounds, buildings, security equipment and runway strips are properly maintained.
    f. ensuring the safety of aircraft on the ground, inspecting aircraft movement areas, reporting conditions capable of jeopardizing the safety of aircraft operations and removing, marking or lighting up obstructions within and near the airport.
    g. the control of vehicular and other traffic inside the airport and ensuring that the facilities and the organisations required for aircraft emergencies areadequate;
    h. the scheduling and daily routine servicing of airport operation vehicles andequipment;
    i. overseeing that, during cyclones, all operational staff are instructed to reportto work according to the ARL Cyclone Procedures and for liaising withstakeholders; and
    j. training of personnel and sensitisation of airport stakeholders.
    2. To assume control in the coordination of assistance efforts, during emergencies, until properly relieved.

    3. To assist in the allocation of parking stands to aircraft, both scheduled and nonscheduled and ensuring the processing of aircraft schedules and applications for nonscheduled flights as well as their notifications to authorities concerned.

    4. To keep records and prepare reports and returns, as may be required.

    5. To be responsible for:
    a. The rosters for operational staff and to ensure that staffing requirements are met at all times; and
    b. The coordination and communication of Aircraft Movement Notices.
    6. To perform any other related duties.

    Salary scale: 23520 x 1080 - 30000 x 1200 – 32400

    Applications are invited from qualified candidates who wish to be considered for employment on contract basis as Engineer, Planning and Maintenance, to work at Airport of Rodrigues Ltd, Sir Gaetan Duval Airport, Plaine Corail, Rodrigues.

    1.    QUALIFICATIONS 
    • Candidates should hold a Degree in Engineering and be registered with the Council of Registered Professional Engineers, Mauritius and having post graduation relevant experience.
    • Candidates should possess good communication, supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Candidates should possess a valid driving license (at least Private Car). 
    2.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1.    To assist the Manager, Planning and Maintenance in, inter alia, the following:
    • the preparation of the company’s new projects;
    • the maintenance of ARL runway, apron, fencing, buildings and equipment;
    • all aspects of tendering and award and subsequent management of contracts; and
    • the setting up and implementation of planned preventive maintenance schemes.
    2.    To plan, organise and monitor the activities of the Planning and Maintenance Department.

    3.  To provide expert advice on planning/ installation/ maintenance/repair of civil works/ electronic/ communication/ electrical/ mechanical equipment.

    4.   To assist and advise the Manager, Planning and Maintenance in his day-to-day activities in relation with engineering matters.

    5.    To supervise works executed by contractors and certify claim thereof.

    6.    To be responsible for all safety, health and environment matters at the Airport.

    7.    To perform any other related duties.

    Initially the selected candidate will be employed on contract basis for one year and renewable upon satisfactory service and with the possibility of permanent employment.
